The Meaning of DSG Hydraulic Valve Model Numbers

Yuken DSG series hydraulic valve is a type of wet directional valve with strong force and high performance. Yuken DSG series hydraulic valve holds the features as high pressure, mass flow, low pressure loss, etc. The non-impact type directional valve makes little noise when shifting the directions. The model number of Yuken DSG series hydraulic valve is not random, each part of the hydraulic valve model number represents a certain feature.

Take Yuken S-DSG-01-2B2A-D24-C-N-50-L hydraulic directional valve as an example:

  • S refers to the different valve types, if there is no number, it is the standard hydraulic directional valve. If it marks with the “S”, it means this is the non-impact type directional valve.
  • DSG refers to the hydraulic directional valve. With “DSG” model number, it must be a type of Yuken directional valves.
  • 01 refers to the hydraulic valve size code. For Yuken directional valves, there are two size code, 01, and 03.
  • 2 refers to the position numbers. 2 means it is a 2-way directional valve, 3 means it is a 3-way directional valve.
  • B refers to the spring types of the spool valve. B means spring offset, C means spring centering, D means free spring orientation.
  • 2 refers to the different spool valve functions. There are many different numbers represent different spool valve functions, such as 2, 3, 4; 40, 60, 9; 10, 12, 8.
  • A refers to the work position makers of spring offset type directional valves. A means the use of neutral position and SOLa energized position; B means the use of neutral position and SOLb energized position.
  • D24 refers to different solenoid coil types. For AC solenoid coils, the codes are A100, A120, A200, A240. For DC solenoid coils, the codes are D12, D24, D100.
  • C refers to different manual operation types. If there is no model number, it is a hydraulic directional valve with hand lever, if the model number is “C”, it means this direction valve has a lock button.
  • N refers to different connector types. N represents DIN socket type connector, N1 represents DIN socket type connector with indicator light. If there is no model number, it means the hydraulic direction valve uses junction box type connector.
  • 50 is the design number of the directional valve.
  • L will be marked when the directional valve is reverse assembled.

Different Connector Choices

Lock button type: manual directional valve adopts the lock button design, With the lock button, the valve can be locked up during the operation process.

DIN plug connector type: DIN plug connector makes the installation and demolition of hydraulic directional valve much easier. There is no need to remove the wire connection.

DIN plug connector with indicator light: the indicator light makes the power-up state of on-off solenoids easier to be recognized.

M8 mounting screw type: the mounting screw for the standard directional valve is M6, but you can also choose M8 mounting screws. If the directional valve uses M8 mounting screw, you should add “02” after the valve design number. Then the DSG directional valve model number should be “S-DSG-01-2B2A-D24-C-N-5002-L”.
